Near-complete set of 1965 Topps Football, one of the most popular and classic of all football-card sets. Missing only #122 Joe Namath for completion. The 1965 Topps Football set is packed with Hall of Famers, rookies, and extremely tough-to-find short prints. Condition is 46% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt (including a few Nr/Mt-Mt), 43% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 11% Gd to Vg (including one lesser). Fourteen cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #35 Kemp SP (NM 7), 46 Brown RC (Ex+), 69 Blanda SP (EX-MT 6), 87 Checklist SP (Gd), 99 Dawson SP (Ex), 133 Biletnikoff RC (EX 5), 145 Otto (EX-MT 6), 155 Alworth (Ex-Mt), and 176 Checklist SP (marked, otherwise Vg). Additional PSA graded cards (all SP's): NM-MT 8 (2 cards): #134 and 162. NM 7 (7 cards): #51, 52, 63, 66, 90, 95, and 127. EX-MT 6 (1 card): #111. The oversized design of the 1965 Topps Football set makes this issue particularly susceptible to damage, and makes the assembly of high-quality sets all the more difficult. This is an exceptionally attractive medium to high-grade near-complete set, far above average for this issue, with many key-card condition highlights and tremendous eye-appeal across the board.
