Presented is an exceptional complete original unopened wax box of 1961-1962 Fleer Basketball containing twenty-four unopened wax packs, including Hall of Famers Wlit Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor rookies on top of two of the packs and also a Wlit Chamberlain In-Action card on top of a third pack. The 1961-1962 Fleer Basketball set features the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and many other Hall of Famers, including Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, Lenny Wilkins, and Sam Jones. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are ultra-high-grade examples of these cards and others from the set. Given the meteoric rise of high-grade rookie cards recently, including the incredible $38,240 public auction sale of a PSA MINT 9 Fleer Chamberlain in May 2016, it is hard not to consider the increased value prospects of a completely original and pristine unopened wax box of this classic issue. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display box has survived in outstanding condition with bright colors and minimal shelf wear visible. This is the first unopened wax box from this series that we have ever offered. This is a stunning unopened wax box that would make a superb addition to any basketball card or unopened wax-box collection.
