Graded VG 3 by PSA. Extremely attractive midgrade example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards: #53 with yellow background from the 1933 Goudey series. The "yellow background" pose of Babe Ruth is, without a doubt, his most difficult to obtain and sought-after card in the 1933 Goudey set. This is a very bright card, with light touches of wear at the corners and centering slightly to the left. Downgraded due to light vertical creasing, most visible from the reverse. The back is otherwise clean, with bold green print set against a white background. This is a very pleasing VG example of one of Babe Ruth's most classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series, and one that offers collectors an outstanding opportunity to acquire a great-looking iconic Babe Ruth card at a fraction of the cost of a higher-graded example.  Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500.
