Ted Williams 1939 commemorative jersey, signed by Williams in black Sharpie (grading "7," slight bleeding) on the left breast. What distinguishes this jersey from nearly all other Ted Williams signed jerseys in the hobby is the fact that the "Splendid Splinter" has scripted his full name, "Theodore Samuel Williams," instead of his standard "Ted Williams." While we have seen autographed balls and photos featuring Williams' full name, we have never seen another jersey signed in such a manner, making this both a rare and highly desirable display piece. The jersey (size XL), produced by Mitchell & Ness, is a replica of Williams' Boston Red Sox home jersey dating from his 1939 rookie season and is complete with the 1939 Baseball Centennial patch on the left sleeve.
