Vintage 1960s photo of Roger Maris as a member of the New York Yankees, beautifully inscribed in blue Sharpie (grading "9/10"): "Best Always/Roger Maris." The photo, which was likely issued for publicity or press purposes, captures Maris striking a batting stance on the field before a game. Stamped "Roger Maris/Outfielder/New York Yankees" on the reverse. The photo (8 x 10 inches) displays a number of tiny indentations (mainly along the border areas) and small surface wrinkles, nearly all of which are only visible when viewed at certain angles. Minor adhesive residue can be found on the reverse from the photo having once been mounted. In Very Good condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA.  Reserve $200. Estimate $400/800.
