Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-six members of the 1958 National League All-Star team: Hank Aaron, Richie Ashburn, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Willie Mays, Bill Mazeroski, Stan Musial, Warren Spahn, Fred Haney (Mgr., sweet spot), Bill Rigney (coach), Johnny Antonelli, Don Blasingame, Del Crandall, George Crowe, Turk Farrell, Bob Friend, Larry Jackson, Johnny Logan, Don McMahon, Walt Moryn, Johnny Podres, Bob Purkey, Johnny Roseboro, Bob Schmidt, Frank Thomas, and Lee Walls. Also signed by George Susce (a coach with Milwaukee in 1958) and one other individual (illegible). Signatures range from "6" (a few display light bleeding) to "10," averaging "8." The ball remains in Near Mint condition. This is a remarkably complete ball, featuring the signatures of all twenty-five roster players plus the manager and one of the two official coaches (the other was Mayo Smith). The American League defeated the National League 4-3 in the 1958 midsummer classic, held at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore on July 8th. The game was notable for being the first All-Star Game in which neither team registered an extra-base hit. LOA from James Spence/JSA.  Reserve $200. Estimate $500+.
