Complete original 1979 Topps Baseball vending case containing twenty-four boxes with 500 cards per box for a total of 12,000 cards. This case comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The "factory-sealed" distinction is particularly important and makes the offered case even more impressive. The 1979 Topps set includes the rookie card of Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, and key cards of Nolan Ryan, Mike Schmidt, George Brett, Paul Molitor, Carl Yastrzemski, and Pete Rose. All the other stars of the day are also included. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, it would be hard to imagine that this case does not include a generous supply of Mint or even Gem Mint examples of every player in the set, including Smith. Original factory seals intact with very minor outer box wear, including a light moisture stain on the lid. A tremendous opportunity to acquire this extraordinary and rarely seen factory-sealed vending case from the popular 1979 Topps baseball issue. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Reserve $10,000.
