Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of 1954 Dan-Dee Mickey Mantle, one of the most attractive of all Mantle cards, and also one of the most difficult to find in extremely high grade. Dan-Dee cards were issued one card per package with Dan-Dee Potato Chips. They are usually found with serious condition problems relating to this method of issue, including creases and potato-chip grease stains. This is an impressive high-grade Dan-Dee of Mickey Mantle, the key card to the set. Flawlessly clean both front and back, with bold colors, and an undisturbed, clean, even wax coating. Four strong corners and near-perfect centering (just a few degrees towards the bottom right). The back is crisp and clean. This is a spectacular world-class example of one of the keys of all 1950s food issues, and one of the most highly prized of all Mantle cards. Reserve $2,500.
