Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. One of only six examples at this level with only five higher out of the 4,003 examples graded to date by PSA. Condition-sensitive #1 card in extraordinarily high grade featuring Hall of Famer Ted Williams, from the popular 1954 Topps issue. The card displays four sharp corners, perfect registration, brilliant colors, and is very well centered. This card is a blazer! As the first card in the set, the 1954 Topps #1 Ted Williams card tended to gravitate to the top of the stack, exposing it to much more wear than other cards, and thus making high-grade examples far more difficult to find than most 1954 Topps cards and most other Williams' cards. This is an exceptionally strong, crisp, ultra high-grade example of 1954 Topps #1 Ted Williams, and is one of the finest and highest-graded examples we have handled in the last eighteen years! Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000+.
