Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Extremely attractive Vg-Ex example of the 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle. One of card collecting's great classics, Mantle's Topps rookie card is the key to the 1952 set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable postwar baseball card. This card is bright and crisp, with even wear on the corners, bold colors, and centering toward the top left. Downgraded from EX due to a combination of the centering and two tiny chips of paper loss on his right ear and neck. This is a tremendous mid-grade example with strong visual appeal! The 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle has long been universally recognized as one of most iconic "blue chips" of all vintage baseball cards, and even just a glance at sales records clearly shows that over the years it has consistently risen in value in all grades. This card presents an outstanding opportunity to acquire an exceptionally attractive example of Mickey Mantle's most celebrated card in an extremely desirable condition, yet very possibly at a small fraction of the cost of a higher-grade example. Reserve $10,000. Estimate (open).
