Presented is a complete 79-card set of 1960 Fleer All-Time Greats. This is a very attractive set of one of card collecting's all-time great sets (no pun intended!) featuring old-timers, which was no doubt the introduction to baseball history for countless thousands of youngsters. Condition is 7% Nr/Mt, 55% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 38% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser and a few that measure small). Keys: #3 Ruth (Ex-Mt), 28 Gehrig (PSA EX-MT 6), 42 Cobb (Ex), 62 Wagner (95/5 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt), and 72 Williams (Ex-Mt). In 1960, Fleer would have preferred to put out a set featuring current stars, but was unable to do so due to Topps' ironclad contracts with all the modern players (except Ted Williams), so Fleer came up with the idea for this old-timers set to keep its foot in the trading-card game. This is a very attractive mid-grade complete set of this historic, classic, and often overlooked Fleer issue. Total: 79 cards.
