Graded VG 3 by SGC. Very attractive example of Babe Ruth's E121 American Caramel card. One of several different cards of Ruth in the E121 set, this is one of the all-time classic Babe Ruth cards of the 1920s. Referred to on checklists as the Babe Ruth "Holding Ball" variation, this popular card features Ruth in a two-thirds length pose donning his New York Yankees cap and holding a baseball. Bright and crisp, with even wear to the corners (weaker bottom left) and centering slightly toward the upper left. Wear to the left edge and light wrinkles across the left-side corners account for the assigned grade. The reverse is boldly printed and clean, with even, natural toning. This is a tremendous mid-grade example of this classic Babe Ruth card, which would be a worthy addition to any high-quality Babe Ruth or prewar-card collection.
