Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. Modestly graded example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards: the 1934 Goudey Gum #37. This card features what is perhaps the finest likeness of Lou Gehrig to ever appear on a card and is recognized as a classic among 1930s bubble-gum cards. The offered card has a crisp image of Gehrig. Condition issues include rounded corners, several small creases and wrinkles, and a patch of paper loss along the reverse. Although this card will never be mistaken for a high-grade example, it is ideal for many collectors who are looking to acquire, at a reasonable price, a presentable example of what many consider the ultimate Lou Gehrig card.
