Presented is a rare E107 Breisch-Williams sample card featuring Hall of Famer Ned Hanlon as manager of the Brooklyn Superbas. Hanlon was a Major League ballplayer with six different teams from 1880 to 1892. He was a consistent player, accumulating over 1,300 hits during his career, but he is best known for his success as manager. Hanlon was the manager of the Baltimore Orioles from 1892 to 1898, a span during which the club won three pennants and two World Championships. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1996. Graded POOR 1 by SGC (submitted by REA) due to heavy creases and general wear, but as can easily be seen, the integrity of the card remains and it displays very nicely for a low-grade example of this extremely important card from the legendary E107 set.
