Game-worn Chicago Bears helmet from the 1980s signed in black marker by Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton. Payton has added the inscription "34 Sweetness" on the other side of his helmet, a nod to his number and nickname. There is nothing suggesting that the helmet is attributable to Payton, and it was most likely used by a member of the defense during this time and signed separately by Payton. The Riddell helmet (size 7-3/8 inches) displays heavy wear commensurate with its game usage. Full LOA from PSA/DNA for the signature. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
