Graded NM 7 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie from the E96 Philadelphia Caramel series. A grade of NM is extremely impressive for an E96 as only nine examples (of any subject) have ever graded NM 7 (only four higher) out of 1,336 cards evaluated to date by SGC. The E96 set, issued by Philadelphia Caramel in 1910, is one of the most popular and colorful of all "E" card issues and is the follow-up to the E95 Philadelphia issue of the previous year. Nap Lajoie is one of eight Hall of Famers featured in the E96 set and is portrayed in a portrait pose set against a bold red background. As suggested by its impressive SGC grade, the offered example is in tremendous condition, especially compared to most other caramel cards, with a crisp, clean image, bold colors, bright white borders, and four strong corners. The reverse is also spectacularly clean, with a boldly printed red checklist and virtually no signs of caramel staining. This is an outstanding ultra high-grade example of one of the key cards in the set featuring Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie.
