1987 All-Star Game ring issued to Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith for his participation in baseball's annual midsummer classic. This ring originates directly from Ozzie Smith and is accompanied by a signed one-page LOA from Smith attesting to its provenance. The gold-colored ring features a blue stone on the front. "Major League All-Star" is lettered along the bezel. One shank features the name "Oakland As 1987 All-Star Game" surrounding the MLB logo. The opposite shank displays the National League Logo. "Jostens QGT" is engraved on the interior band. 1987 marked the seventh time that Smith was selected to the National League All-Star Game roster. Smith, of course, is considered by many to be the greatest fielding shortstop in baseball history. A fifteen-time All-Star and winner of thirteen consecutive Gold Glove Awards, Smith was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2002, his first year of eligibility. The ring displays very minimal wear and is in Near Mint condition. Size: approximately 10. Weight: approximately 23 grams.
