Official American League baseball (Harridge) signed in black fountain pen by the following 17 members of the 1936 World Champion New York Yankees: Gehrig (sweet spot), DiMaggio (rookie season), Lazzeri, McCarthy (Mgr., sweet spot), Dickey, Ruffing, Combs (coach), Glenn, Powell, Crosetti, Pearson, Johnson, Schulte (coach), Selkirk, Fletcher (coach), Seeds, and Rolfe. The notation "World Series 1936" is printed in red ink on a side panel. The ball has been coated with a thin layer of protective shellac, otherwise it remains in Excellent to Mint condition overall. 1936 marked the first of four consecutive World Championships for the New York Yankees, a feat that would be exceeded only by the 1949-1953 Yankees World Championship dynasty. 1936 New York Yankees team-signed balls with authentic Gehrig and DiMaggio signatures (as opposed to clubhouse examples) are particularly scarce. This is an outstanding example and one that would be a welcome addition to any advanced New York Yankees or team-signed ball collection. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
