Original-in-box example of "Jimmy Piersall's Little Pro Bat A Round." Although this training device, which is essentially a batting tee, bears Piersall's name, the endorsement of Yankees slugger Roger Maris stands front and center on the lid. Maris is pictured demonstrating his swing on the device, above which is printed his glowing testimony: "I use the Little Pro!" Willie Mays and Jimmy Piersall (with son Jim Jr.) are also pictured. The text along the base of the lid lets patrons know that an 8 x 10 autographed photo of Roger Maris is included in the box (although a facsimile signature, it still accompanies the piece). All the original pieces appear to be intact except for the metal green stand. The box remains completely intact with creasing and light staining along the top panel being the most notable flaws. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
