New York Yankees ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1951 World Series against the New York Giants at Yankee Stadium on October 4. Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of just six examples graded at this level, with none higher! Game 1 was memorable because it marked the World Series debut for both Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. Though it was an inauspicious start for both rookies (each was hitless in the game), Mays could at least take solace in the fact that the Giants defeated the Yankees 5-1. The ticket stub (4.25 x 2.25 inches) displays scattered pencil marks on front.
