Brooklyn Dodgers regular-season ticket stub (1.25 x 2.75 inches) issued for a doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds on July 10, 1947, in which Jackie Robinson hit his fifth career home run. Graded EX 5 by PSA (submitted by REA). This is the only example graded at this level (out of four), with NONE graded higher. Robinson's home run, a solo shot off of Buddy Lively, occurred in the bottom of the eighth inning of the second game and tied the score at 5. The Dodgers scored another run that inning and defeated the Reds 6-5. Robinson went 2-for-4 in the game, and 1-for-4 in the first game, which was won by Cincinnati 3-1. Robinson was in his rookie season with the Dodgers in 1947 and any Dodgers ticket stubs from that historic year, especially those from home-run games, have always been highly prized by collectors. This is an outstanding high-grade example and one that would be a welcome addition to any Brooklyn Dodgers or Jackie Robinson collection. (Please Note: According to Baseball Reference, Robinson's home run on this date was his fourth of the season, not fifth, which contradicts the PSA information on the label. REA has not been able to verity the correct home-run number.) Opening Bid $200.
