Signed example of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski's rookie card from the 1968 Topps Venezuelan set. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card, grading Yastrzemski's blue fine-point marker signature GEM MINT 10 and certifying the card as "Authentic." Signed examples of this card are extremely rare, as this is one of only four signed examples encapsulated by PSA/DNA. Hall of Fame rookie cards have exploded in popularity in recent years, and signed examples are likewise commanding the attention of sophisticated autograph collectors. The Topps Venezuelan issues are among the most fascinating sets of the 1960s. The first 198 cards of Topps’ 1960 baseball set were reprinted on a non-glossy cardboard stock for sale exclusively in the Venezuelan market. The fronts are identical in design to the regular-issue Topps cards, with slightly less gloss, and the backs feature lighter black printing. While the offered card has several condition flaws, including heavy creasing and paper loss on the reverse, Yastrzemski's signature remains bold and clean. This is a very presentable signed example of this scarce card and one that would be a welcome addition to any advanced card or autograph collection. Opening Bid $500.
