This is a very attractive modestly graded example of one of Ruth's truly great early 1920s cards. 1921 was the very first year the legendary Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago issued cards. It would go on to issue sets for the next fifty years. These cards were sold by card machines at amusement parks and penny arcades, one penny per card. This is the key card from the set and one of Ruth's earliest cards featuring him with the Yankees. Graded GOOD 2 by SGC (submitted by REA) due to several condition flaws including light creasing, rounded corners, and light soiling front and back. Despite these flaws the card has outstanding picture quality! An extremely attractive modestly graded example of one of Ruth’s classic cards. Opening Bid $2,000.
