Old Hickory block-letter (full name) model "AJ1" bat used by All-Star outfielder Andruw Jones during the 2004 season. Graded GU 10 by PSA/DNA. Its game use has been personally attested to by Jones, who has signed and inscribed the bat on the sweet spot of the barrel in silver paint pen: "Andruw Jones - Game Used 04 - HR 2 NLDS Off R. Springer." According to the notation, this bat is attributed to Andruw Jones' hitting his second home run of the National League Division Series against the Houston Astros; however, a review of images from this home run appear to show Jones using a slightly different bat, so we cannot be sure of its exact date of use and are presenting it "as is." The bat, which is not cracked, displays heavy use, including a number of ball marks (with blue-ink transfers and white scuffs), ball-stitch impressions, and a moderate coat of pine tar on the taped handle. Jones' uniform number ("25") is written on the knob in silver paint pen. An "ASI Jones 25" hologram sticker is on the barrel. Length: 34 inches. Weight: 31.5 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (for the bat only, a corresponding sticker affixed to the handle). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the autograph only). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Opening Bid $200.
