Atlanta Braves home jersey worn by Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox during the 1992 World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The white knit jersey is lettered "Braves" across the front, below which is the team's tomahawk logo. On the reverse are the number "6" and the name "COX." All letters and numerals are appliquéd in red on navy tackle twill with the exception of the name on the reverse, which is appliquéd in navy tackle twill. A 1992 World Series patch adorns the left sleeve. Located on the left front tail are a "Wilson" label and the year, "92," which is stitched in black on a white strip tag. Located directly below the Wilson label is a flag tag denoting the size, "46." Cox has signed the jersey in blue marker on the front, adding "#6" directly below his signature. The jersey is original as issued, with no alterations, and according to the MEARS LOA displays moderate wear throughout. One of the most successful managers of the modern era, Cox won five pennants and one World Championship during his 30-year managerial career and his lifetime win total of 2,504 ranks fourth best all time. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Graded A5 by MEARS (no post-1997 jersey can achieve a higher grade than A5 without additional provenance). Full LOA from MEARS (for the jersey only). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the autograph only). Opening Bid $300.
