Atlanta Braves home jersey worn by Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox during his 1979 season. The white knit pinstripe jersey is lettered "Braves" across the front and features the number "6" on both the left breast and reverse. All letters and numerals are appliqued in blue-on-white tackle twill, edged with red embroidery. A "Wilson 44" label appears in the collar. The year, "79," is chain-stitched in blue upon a white strip tag on the left front tail. Cox has signed the jersey in black marker on the front, adding "All The Best" directly above his signature. The jersey is original as issued, with no alterations, and displays light-to-moderate wear. One of the most successful managers of the modern era, Cox won five pennants and one World Championship during his 30-year managerial career and his lifetime win total of 2,504 ranks fourth best all time. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the autograph only). Opening Bid $300.
