Chicago Cubs press pin issued for the 1929 World Series against the Philadelphia Athletics. This pin has always been highly regarded both for its rarity (it is one of the most difficult to find of the era) and its very striking design. The center design features a bear holding a bat while the alternating white-and-red enamel borders read "World Series Press 1929 Chicago." This is a strong example of this highly prized pin, displaying only the slightest amount of handling wear and minor tarnish on the reverse. Manufactured by Hipp & Coburn Co.; threaded-post back.
