This exceedingly rare and stunning large-format 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates celluloid button is among the most impressive of all baseball celluloids. This team-composite button features twenty-eight portraits of the 1925 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates, including Hall of Famers Pie Traynor, Ki-Ki Cuyler, Bill McKechnie, Fred Clarke, and Barney Dreyfuss. The unique design includes a metal easel on the back to allow for display on a counter or shelf. Over the last several decades, we have seen just a few of these extraordinary celluloids, and this is only the third example we have offered in the past twenty years. Diameter: 7.5 inches.
