Official American League ball (Brown) inscribed "Mickey Mantle No. 7" in blue ink on the sweet spot. PSA/DNA has graded the signature NM-MT+ 8.5. Although Mantle signed thousands of baseballs during his years of retirement, those bearing additional notations are the exception rather than the rule. As such, they have always been held in higher regard by most collectors. The ball displays scattered patches of very light age toning and is otherwise in Excellent condition overall. Both PSA/DNA and GAI Global certification stickers are affixed to the ball. A PSA/DNA tag featuring the grade is affixed to the underside of the case (the cert number on the PSA/DNA certification sticker affixed along the ball is different and only verifies the signature's authenticity).
