Rare Pittsburgh Pirates "fold-out" postcard dating from circa 1909. This is only the third example of this Pirates "fold-out" postcard we have offered in the past 20 years. Opening the card reveals a game in progress at Forbes Field and 14 individual photos of Pirates team members, which fold out accordion style from the center. All the players are identified in print below their images, including manager Fred Clarke, Honus Wagner, Vic Willis, Ham Hyatt, Howie Camnitz, Lefty Liefield, Owen Wilson, Nick Maddox, Dots Miller, Bill Abstein, Babe Adams, Bobby Byrne, George Gibson, and Tommy Leach. The credit "Courtesy of Pittsburg Chronicle Telegraph" is printed along the edge of a player photo panel (Hyatt). The Wilson photo panel has a split on the seam, which has caused slight separation from the Willis photo panel. The interior photos are in Excellent condition overall. The postcard (5.75 x 3.5 inches, folded) has light toning as well as moderate creasing. In Fair to Good condition overall. Opening Bid $200.
