Presented is an outstanding high-grade complete 63-card set of 1953 Mother's Cookies. The set is composed only of players from the Pacific Coast League and includes many who played in the major leagues. The cards (2-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches) have color photos on slick card stock, with the player's facsimile autograph and team name on the front and a trading card album offer on the reverse. Forty-three cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Grading Composite: MINT 9 (19 cards): #6, 7, 9 O'Doul , 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 25, 28, 38, 39, 50, 51, 52, 56, and 59. NM-MT+ 8.5 (1 card): #2. NM-MT 8 (17 cards): #1, 4, 22, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 36, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 55, and 61. NM 7 (3 cards): #35, 62 Federoff, and 63. EX-MT+ 6.5 (1 card): #29. EX-MT 6 (2 cards): #21, and 53. The condition of the twenty-card unencapsulated balance is 75% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including a few bordering on Mint) and 25% ranging from Vg to Ex (averaging Vg-Ex). Unencapsulated Keys: #49 Hack (Nr/Mt-Mt) and 54 Davis (Nr/Mt). A superb high-grade complete set of this scarce regional PCL issue from the early 1950s. Total: 63 cards.
