Presented is an exceptionally attractive 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle. One of card collecting's classics, Mantle's Topps rookie card is the key to the set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable baseball card, having recently claimed the title at $12.6 million in MINT+ condition. We are very familiar with this particular card as this is the second time we have had the privilege of offering it. This card was presented as Lot 1 in REA's September 2023 auction. The offered example, graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC, had been in the same family since the 1950s and has characteristics one would expect to see in a slightly higher grade. It has strong colors, a crisp image, outstanding centering, and even wear at the corners. The reverse is clean with bold printing. The 1952 Topps Mantle has long been recognized as one of the most iconic "blue chips" of all vintage baseball cards, and a glance at sales records shows that over the years it has consistently risen in value in all grades. This 1952 Topps Mantle presents a particularly significant collecting and investing opportunity as it is such a strong and attractive example in a particularly desirable grade. Opening Bid $10,000.
