Presented is a mostly mid-grade partial set of 1952 Mother's Cookies consisting of forty-six different cards (out of sixty-four in a set). Missing the following eighteen cards for completion: #4 Connors, 12, 18, 20, 22, 25 O'Doul, 32 Ott, 33, 37 Welmaker, 43 Erautt, 44, 48, 53, 54, 55, 57, 60, and 63. Included is a duplicate of #46 Heath. This series is composed only of players from the Pacific Coast League and includes many who played in the major leagues. The cards (2-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches) have color photos on slick card stock, with the player's name and team on the front, and a foreign postage-stamp offer on the reverse. Condition is 39% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple better), 43% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 18% lesser. Four cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #6 (VG-EX+ 4.5), 10 West (unauthenticated signature on reverse, otherwise presenting as Vg+, with light erasure mark on reverse), 11 MacCawley (NM 7), 16 Talbot (Fr due to small tear of right edge), 19 Gordon (Vg), and 29 Peterson (EX-MT 6), and 46 (EX 5). An attractive partial set of this scarce regional PCL issue from the early 1950s. Total: 47 cards (partial set of 46 plus one duplicate). Opening Bid $200.
