Presented is a full three-day ticket (measuring 2 x 6 inches) to the historic Woodstock Music and Art Fair concert held at Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel, New York, approximately 40 miles southwest of Woodstock, New York. During the three-day period from August 15-17, 1969, over 400,000 concertgoers attended the legendary event. The ticket was valid for admission for all three days of the planned three-day event (which actually ended on the morning of Monday, August 18th, highlighted by Jimi Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner on guitar) with a separate section that was to be torn off each day upon entry.Performers on Friday, August 15, 1969, included: Richie Havens, Satchidananda Saraswati (opening speech/invocation for the festival), Sweetwater, Bert Sommer, Tim Hardin, Ravi Shankar, Melanie, Arlo Guthrie, and Joan Baez.Performers on Saturday, August 16, 1969, included: Quill, Country Joe McDonald, Santana, John Sebastian, Keef Hartley Band, The Incredible String Band, Canned Heat, Mountain, The Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin (with The Kozmic Blues Band), Sly and the Family Stone, The Who, and Jefferson Airplane.Performers on Sunday, August 17, 1969, included: The Band, Johnny Winter, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Sha Na Na, and Jimi Hendrix with A Band of Gypsys.This ticket would make a welcome addition to a music memorabilia or 1960s era historical collection.
