Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC. One of card collecting's classics, Mickey Mantle's #311 Topps card is the key to the 1952 set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable postwar baseball card. The offered card has bright colors, outstanding registration, light corner wear, and a wrinkle running through the lower right of the nameplate. Downgraded due to a substantial amount of glue residue along the reverse, which is a remnant of this card's past time spent neatly mounted to a scrapbook page. This card is entirely fresh to the hobby, consigned by a collector in Canada, and was professionally removed from the scrapbook page, resulting in this extremely presentable example now encapsulated and available to collectors. In recent years we have seen an ever-increasing appreciation for the exceptional value offered by cards such as this example. This card presents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a visually appealing example of Mickey Mantle's most celebrated card in an extremely desirable condition, yet very possibly at a small fraction of the cost of a higher-grade example with the same eye appeal. Opening Bid $10.
