Presented is a relatively affordable example of what many consider to be the most classic of all Joe Jackson cards, and one of the most classic of all vintage baseball cards. This card is part of an exciting, fresh-to-the-hobby find of 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jack cards, saved by the family of the original owner who lived in the Southeast, all consigned to REA's Fall 2024 auction. Jackson is featured on this card in a batting pose based on a photograph by legendary photographer Charles Conlon, set against a deep red background. Encapsulated as Authentic by PSA (submitted by REA), this example displays numerous condition flaws including a small chip missing on the bottom border, a horizontal crease extending across the lower portion of the card, and moderate corner wear. There is light caramel staining and toning on the reverse. Despite the modest condition, this is still a pleasing card with a strong image, providing a relatively affordable alternative to a far more expensive high-grade example of one of vintage-card collecting's most sought-after classics. Opening Bid $2,500.
