The Dowd Report, prepared in 1989 by John Dowd, Special Counsel to the Commissioner of Baseball, was the document that provided the details of Pete Rose's gambling on baseball. Following Dowd's investigation and submission of the report, MLB Commissioner Bart Giamatti placed Rose on baseball's ineligible list, which effectively banished him from baseball. Offered here is a copy of the Dowd Report, signed by Rose on the cover in blue Sharpie. The 225-page report (9 x 11 inches), with its tan covers and plastic spiral spine, remains in Excellent condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $50.
