Offered is a pair of Nike Zoom LeBron II sneakers worn by LeBron James as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2004-2005 NBA season, his second in the league. Accompanied by individual LOAs from Mears and Sports Investors, the latter of whom has conclusively matched the sneakers to a pair worn by James during two regular-season games and one pre-season game. Each black sneaker (size 16) features James' name, number, and logo along the outer-back portion. The shoes display heavy overall use, with scuff marks and creasing visible along the exterior, and tread wear on the outsoles. Please note the majority of the ballistic mesh and leather on the upper portion of the left sneaker has been cut away, leaving the interior lining visible. After a historic rookie season that culminated with James being awarded the Rookie of the Year award, James continued his ascension toward superstardom during the 2004-2005 season. According to Sports Investors Authentication, James wore this particular pair of sneakers during a November 6, 2004, regular-season game against the Milwaukee Bucks and a November 9, 2004, regular-season game against the Atlanta Hawks. James finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in a loss against the Bucks and 25 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in a win against the Hawks. The shoes are also photo-matched to a October 29, 2004, pre-season game and are an apparent match to an October 14, 2004, pre-season game. This is an outstanding pair of game-used sneakers dating from early in Lebron James' legendary career. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Opening Bid $25,000.
