Although Bill Skowron's career officially ended after the 1967 season, the "Moose" was still a familiar site at Yankee Stadium, returning each summer to take part in the team's fabled Old-Timers' Day game. This New York Yankees home uniform (jersey and pants) was worn by Skowron during an "Old-Timers" game at Yankee Stadium in 2006. The white-knit pinstripe jersey features the club's "NY" logo on the front and the number "14" on the reverse. All letters and numerals have been appliquéd in navy tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Majestic Athletic" label and a "48" size tag. A Major League Baseball patch appears on the rear collar. Skowron has inscribed the jersey "Best Wishes/Moose Skowron/#14" in blue marker on the left chest. The matching white-knit pinstripe pants (including the belt) have a "Majestic Athletic" label in the waistband. Also displayed in the waistband are the player's number, name, pant size, inseam, and year ("14 Skowron 40-42 30 06") on a white strip tag. Both the jersey and pants are original as issued, with no alterations, and display light wear. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $100.
