Kirk Gibson Worth block-letter (full name) model "WC137" bat dating from the 1985-1988 manufacturing period. Graded GU 7 by PSA/DNA. According to the PSA/DNA letter, the bat displays excellent use with a handle crack that has been repaired with a screw and glue. The bat's length ("5") and model number ("WC137") are stamped on the knob. Gibson has signed the bat in gold ink on the barrel. Although he enjoyed a fine sixteen-year career, Gibson will always be remembered for his dramatic pinch-hit game-winning home run in the first game of the 1988 World Series that helped propel the Dodgers to an improbable Series victory over the heavily favored A's. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 31.9 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (for the bat only, a corresponding sticker affixed to the handle). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the autograph only). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Opening Bid $300.
