Japan was one of the first foreign countries in which the American game of baseball became extremely popular. This collection is composed of six Shikishi boards (traditional signing board), each signed in black ink by a former Japanese player, including three Hall of Famers. The collection consists of the following: 1) Sadaharu Oh (HOF). 2) Choji Murata (HOF). 3) Katsuya Nomura (HOF). 4) Masumi Kuwata (Yomiuri Giants star and Pittsburgh Pirates). 5) Kazunori Shinozuka (Yomiuri Giants star). 6) Kazashige Nagashima (son of Shigeo Nagashima - was a pro player in Japan as well as sports commentator and actor). Each board measures 9.5 x 10.75 inches and remains in Excellent condition overall, with three displaying light foxing. Total: 6 items. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $200.
