Collection of six New York Yankees payroll checks representing three different Hall of Fame pitchers, each made payable and endorsed by the respective player and spanning the years 1973 through 1981. All of the signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, appear on the reverse. Unless otherwise noted, all of the checks display normal bank cancellation stamps. Vertical folds are the most common flaws, and the group is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. The players represented here are as follows: Two Whitey Ford (1973 and 1981), two Jim "Catfish" Hunter (1975 and 1976), and two Bob Lemon (both 1979). Total: 6 checks.
