Graded EX/NM 6 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of this classic Babe Ruth bubble-gum card featuring the legend in his classic follow-through batting pose. Goudey must have realized this was such a classic pose because it's the one it chose to double print when replacing missing card #106 during production. This continues to be one of Ruth's most popular and recognizable baseball cards. Because of being double-printed by Goudey (there were exactly twice as many Ruth #144s printed as any other card in the same series), this card represents the best value among the four Ruth cards in the 1933 Goudey set. This is a very attractive example with brilliant colors, a crisp image, strong corners, and centering toward the bottom. Clean and boldly printed reverse. Opening Bid $10,000.
