Graded GOOD 2 by PSA (submitted by REA). Exceedingly rare ticket stub from Wilt Chamberlain's historic 100-point performance on March 2, 1962, in Hershey, Pa. Our consignor's father attended the game on one of his first dates with his wife. He kept the ticket and program (which he later had signed by Wilt and is offered as a separate lot in this auction). The 100 points remain a single-game scoring record, one that has never been seriously threatened. In this untelevised classic in front of a scant crowd of 4,124, Chamberlain shot 36 of 63 from the field and knocked down 28 of 32 free throws, leading the charge for his Philadelphia Warriors over the New York Knickerbockers 169-147. This is just the second example of this historic ticket stub we have ever offered! The stub (1-3/4 x 1-9/16 inches), issued for a "Mezzanine" seat, displays bold, black lettering. The date is also preprinted on the ticket stub. Scattered creasing factors into the assigned grade. This is a phenomenal piece of basketball history and one that would make a welcome addition to any advanced Wilt Chamberlain or basketball ticket collection. Opening Bid $5,000.
