Original photograph capturing Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) during the 1969 NCAA National Championship game. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Alcindor is pictured attacking the rim as Frank Kaufman of Purdue defends. UCLA defeated Purdue 92-72 to capture their third consecutive NCAA title. Alcindor, dominated in the final game of his collegiate career, finishing with 37 points and 20 rebounds. A "Malcom Emmons" credit stamp and a few editorial pen notations are visible along the reverse. A "Sporting News Collection" sticker is affixed to the reverse as well. The photo (8 x 10 inches) displays a few unobtrusive small wrinkles and light corner wear; Very Good to Excellent condition. Opening Bid $500.
