Presented is a rarely seen 1996 Pokemon Japanese Base Set Sealed Booster Box. These boxes were released in Japan on October 20, 1996, and predate the English version by a little over two years. Surviving boxes from this series are very hard to find! Though the English boxes contain 36 packs, Japanese boxes are larger and contain 60 packs, each with 10 cards, for a total of 600 cards. Featuring Generation I Pokemon, the Base Set includes 102 unique cards, including fan favorites Pikachu and Charizard (who is depicted on the box art). This booster box is in Excellent condition. This box is extremely notable to collectors of Pokemon and unopened material alike. It would make a worthy addition to any world-class nonsport, Pokemon, or trading card game collection.
