Prewar Baseball - 1910s and 1920s Cards
Presented is a near-complete set of 129 different (out of 144) 1924 Zeenut cards. Missing the following fifteen cards for completion: E. Baldwin, T. Baldwin, Bernard, Blakesley, Brady, Cadore, M. Cochrane, Killefer, Kimmick, Osborne, Root, P. Waner, Welsh, Williams/Seattle, and Moses Yellowhorse. The 1924 Zeenut set is composed of players from eight different teams (Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vernon). A near-complete set such as this is very rarely seen. This is only the second complete or near-complete 1924 Zeenut set we have ever offered. The condition is 15% Gd to Vg (mostly Gd) and 85% Pr to Fr (including thirteen with clipped corners, two with color added, and four altered with tape). As is usually the case with Zeenuts, the coupon at the bottom of each card has been neatly clipped away, as intended, to be redeemed for prizes. Also as is usually the case with Zeenuts, many of the cards have a superior appearance than suggested by their technically accurate modest grades. A very presentable lower-grade 1924 Zeenut near-complete set. Total: 129 cards. Opening Bid $300.
