Rare ticket stub from the final New York Giants game played at the Polo Grounds, on September 29, 1957. Unlike the Dodgers, who did not officially announce their move to Los Angeles until after the season, the Giants made their intentions known on August 19th. Despite the advance notice, only 11,606 fans attended the club's final game in New York. What they saw was a 9-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates and an end to one of the most eventful chapters in baseball history. This is one of only a few ticket stubs we have seen from that historic game and only the second we have offered in the past twenty years. Graded VG 3 (MK) by PSA, the stub (3.25 x 1.75 inches) has light creasing and ink marks on the reverse. Opening Bid $100.
