Exceedingly rare oversized Harvard football felt pennant, circa 1910. This is the first example of this pennant we have offered in the past twenty years! It is also new to the hobby. The pennant, along with five other rare baseball pennants (all of which are also featured in this auction), was just recently discovered. It easily is one of the most attractive early Harvard football pennants from the era. The attractive design of this oversized red felt pennant displays a generic Harvard player in a running pose to the left. The school name "Harvard" is lettered to the right. The pennant (32.75 inches long), which is complete with tassels, has light fading, minor soiling, a torn tip, crazing to the graphics, and a black ink stamp on the reverse (possibly the initials of the original owner). A small tear on the bottom edge is repaired with tape on the reverse. In Fair to Good condition overall.
