Brooklyn Dodgers regular-season ticket stub issued for the 1949 home opener against the New York Giants on April 19th, in which Jackie Robinson hit his 25th career home run. (Robinson hit 137 career home runs, and tickets from twelve of those games are available in this auction.) Robinson's home run, a solo shot off of Larry Jansen, occurred in the fourth inning. Roy Campanella also homered in the same inning. The Dodgers defeated the Giants 10-3. Robinson went 3 for 5. This is an outstanding example that would be a welcome addition to a Brooklyn Dodgers or Jackie Robinson collection. The ticket stub (1-1/4 x 3-1/8 inches) has heavy creasing throughout.
